The Very Best Halloween Presents EVER

Yesterday the postman brought a huge box to our door. Mama told us all to come into the lounge to open it together as she knew who it was from and knew we would be excited.

The box was from Auntie Kat, and it was full of Halloween things for us all. All of it was wrapped seperatly with our names on so it was like opening Christmas presents.

Kat gave me a spider bracelet, Halloween sprinkles, bat wings, a wicked witch that lights up, and lots more. Thankyou Kat I loved everything very much! I even got a special hat made by Kat in purple , it is beautiful!
Reilly loves his bag of bugs, he loves all the spooky bugs and spiders, yuck!

Lacey loved the bat headband and didnt take it off all day. She likes the skeleton straws for her pink milkshakes too!

Kat gave Emily a beautiful Spider to sew on her clothes. Emily hates spiders but loved this one as its all sequinny and sparkly. Also she had false eyelashes and black false nails which she is going to wear on Halloween.

Mama was happy too with her garland of skeles, ( which Daddy stole!) and witches purple tights, mini oven and lots of other bits too .

We played all day, making things, sticking things, dressing up with all our new things.

We love you Auntie Kat your the best!!!!!

Blue Peter tomorrow, hope Im on it! Happy Anniversary to Auntie Kat too!!

I am going to be on TV on Blue Peter!!!!!!

On Wednesday Blue Peter and their crew came to our school!

Blue Peter have been having a Christmas card appeal where they send out packs of cards for children to decorate and then these designs go to Tescos to be sold and the money goes to a great charity called Whizz Kids which helps disabled and wheelchair bound children to lead better lives!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/bluepeter/getinvolved/appeal.shtml
Check out the website for details
Our year , year 4, at our school Sandcross was chosen to be filmed as a little boy in our year is involved in Whizz Kids as he is in a wheelchair.

Andy (from blue peter) asked us to do some Christmas cards that will be sold in Tesco's. They will say our names on the back of them. We were filmed for about an hour making the cards, just our year, year 4 of Sandcross School.

A few minutes later someone from formula one came in :) Lewis Hamilton! He went and said hello to us all!

While we were making our cards the camera crew started telling us what to do while we saying something. Then I was filmed!! :)

I hope I am on the tv saying what I had to say but if not I will still be on there with my year making the cards so see if you can spot me!

You can watch it on 25 October 4:30 BBC1. If you are not in then you can watch it on BBC I Player . http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

Hope you can see me!

New Miniatures and Mice

Sorry I've been away so long I've been busy at school.

Quite a while ago Lory http://www.etsy.com/shop/64tnt
sent me a lovely rustic shelf that she made especially for me and my mouse house with some acorn bowls which holds gooseberries, garlic, mushrooms and potatoes.
Its brown with little green acorns and leaves around the sides. It blends in with all of the bits and pieces in my brambly hedge house.

She also made my this sweet teapot and cups and lots of little bowls and hanging bowls too to fill with things!

And one of my best parts was the white cake with berries on top!

Mamma bought me 2 tarts from Lory too as Mice love fruit tart!

I love it all very very much and love Lory for making it all for me, she is very kind and lovely thankyou to Lory!

I would like to put more in my house, look on Lorys Etsy shop for more of her things, I love them all. Lots of Halloween things there now to buy!

Also Id like to show you my Brambley hedge Mice my Daddy bought me at the car boot sale last weekend. I want to collect more mice from Jain but as i wait these will look nice, just a little small!

They came in tins, one is a boy and one is one of the Mums, not sure of their names, I think he is Wilfred and she is Mrs apple? Later I would like ones like this but in the right size for my house, then these wil go no my shelf to display .

P.S I took the photos as I want to practise, I would like a camera for Christmas!!

I have some more to take tomorrow of other things I have got for my house

Another thankyou to Janice and Kat!

Today before I went to school the postman bought a Huge box and it was with my name on it. Mama said she knew who it was from but I did not.
it was from Janice who I met at the fair and she is a lovely lady. She has given me lots an dlots of things I can use in my brambly house and also in my other dollshouse as there are people and furniture for that too. Also Janice wrote me a letter with a picture of a Brambly mouse!
I had some time before I had to walk to school so could open it all. It was all in red tissue and was like opening presents. Reilly was very jealous.
You can see in the photo the furniture and some I can paint . I really like the cupboard and it already has flowers so I can use it in the bedroom. Also there is a cot which I think Mama likes but its for me!!! I really liked the little cakes too for the table and the china. All of it is great!
Thankyou to Janice very very much.

Kat sent Mama some hats she had bought and in it was a pack of fruit for my house, and a straw hat. I like it and was going to put the fruit in a bowl on the table but I had an idea with the hat.
Can you see, I stuck it on the hat to make a fancy going out hat for one of the mice.
Daddy says its a real Sunday going out hat!
I hope Kat likes what I have done. I really like it.

Thankyou to everyone for my presents. It is not my birthday even!!

My Brambly Gifts from Michelle and Jill

Yesterday when I got home the postman had been and bought a box and I did not know who it was from.
Inside were all these things from Michelle who has a blog and her Mum Jill . I met them both at the dolls fair and they have been very kind and found all these things from my list for my house.
I was so happy as all the things were what I wanted, and the best thing was made by them and I love it.
it is a little pram like an apple and it has a basket which mama is going to make some berries to go in .
Mama is going to ask Jain nicely to make a mouse , a bigger baby than my other one Jain gave me and I can put him in this pram !
There are big mushrooms which we will stick around the outside so it looks like they are growing on the house. And watering cans, apples so I can thread them , and little hedghogs! I love them they are so cute.
Also we wanted pegs for the washing and look, little pegs!

Thanks very much Michelle and Jill for my gift. All of it is the best! in the photo you can see it all,

What a Busy Fun Day at KDF

We are back from Kensington Fair. Very tired but very fun!
Here is me at the station, I got a new orange Tutu for the day.
All of it was fun as I have not been on a train for a long time, and never on a tube train at all.
There were lots of people there and we had to stand and wait to get in.

First we said hello to Nikki and gave her chocolate cakes to eat so she wasnt hungry. . I was so happy as her stall was so pretty and she had given me a gift. It is lots and lots of things to play with in my house, and material so we can make jars too. Here is a picture of all the things, lots and lots!
Nikki was so busy and needed help!
I had £20 from Daddy so I chose a book of a dragon eye. I wanted it as I liked the colour of it, it is orange and the same as my skirt! I wish I could have got the hat to match!

I also forgot I wanted some of the pointy shoes and the sewing basket, we were supposed to go back to look for them after it got quieter but forgot as it was so busy!

We saw Auntie Kat who was all in black with red hair, very cool!
I had a gift from her too of lots of material and beads and ribbon, and a hat with a gingerbread man on. So thankyou to Nikki and Auntie Kat as I love my presents very much.

It was very busy so we walked down to the stall with Julie and Jain and there were lots and lots of dolls there! We gave them cakes too to eat on the stall.
I liked Julie's tiny wizard in the small scale but I dont have anywhere to put him.
From Jain Mama got me a lovely mouse for my Brambly hedge house with a little basket and hat just like i wanted to have! Jain was very very kind as she had made me a crib with a tiny tiny baby mouse inside just for me out of a walnut just as i wanted !
It is all in a pink bed and I love it so much thankyou Jain!
We went back to see them later and Nikki too but she was still busy.

The lady that runs the show gave me a mouse hunt form and you have to look on all the stalls for a tiny mouse head which is hiding and write the stall name on the paper. If you win you get 2 mice so I hope I win but I didnt get all the mice as there were 3 floors of stalls to see and it was too busy to see into all of them. Some people hid them too hard too!

Our friends had the best stalls of the show! I liked some others , one lady sold animals but they were too much money! One had tiny toys but we dont have a toy shop but julie would like the toys !

When we were going out we saw lots of jars for the Mouse House. We got some pickles, fruit in jars, lemon curd, pineapple and berries. These were quite alot of money but i really liked them for the kitchen so I was treated . I dont like the little labels as much as nikkis so as I now have lots of labels Nikki sent me I can cange them to make them lokk even nicer

I was very happy and lucky and now want to start on my walls so we can begin the kitchen !

I will put my mice on later when the camera is working again.

I hope you like my show report.

My Brambly List and things so far.

Here is the list so far for the Brambly house. it is quite big and I will think of more things on top of this, but here it is

Furniture

Kitchen table and chairs
Dressers
oven
Fireplace
Half tester Bed
Walnut crib
sink
chairs

Things to Fill

Baskets
Baskets of blackberrys, strawberrys, goosberreys etc
jam jars with jams and pickes
pies, apple berry pies
big tower cake with strawberrys
mixing bowl with jam mixture
quilts in flowery patterns
check curtain material red and white
candles
shelves
apples big and small
big apples to thread with needle and cotton
daisy chains
washing line with pegs and washing
hats, straw ones
little mouse clothes and pile of washing
acorns and tiny pine cones and oak leaves
cheeses
baby blocks and bay toys for the floor
frames with mouse pictures in

Lots of things to collect. here is a picture of the things I have found in Mamas boxes and have put in a box of mine to keep for when the house is ready to fill.
Our first job is to go shopping for polyfiller or something to make the walls bumpy and to do the beams. Also to choose paint for the walls. It may be messy to do the walls but we only have to do downstairs as I am keeping the flowery wallpaper upstairs . I think mice like flowers.

Also this week on ebay we got a good book with patterns to make Brambly mice clothes. But when we got it the scale is too large. it is for bigger mice. Does anyone know how to make the patterns smaller to fit in the house? We can use it to make clothes for the washing line. We can scan the pattern but dont know how to amke it small to 1 12th ?

I will take my list to the Dollshouse fair and hope to buy some things there for it .
Today it is cold and raining so we wont go and get the paints today. I am doing something for someone in america today to send to them. I like to get things in the post so I hope she will like it too. So I will be busy doing that.
Have a nice Day today and I hope you liked to see my list.

My Kat Hats

Here are my Hats from Auntie Kat. My Best one is the Hatter steam punk hat as it is very different. Last week A box came from Auntie Kat which was just for me. It was this table for my hat shop and i really love it so thankyou. The other Hatter hat is just like the one in the film! I have a little box for it to go in and it will have more hats and some materials and things for making hats. This I will do soon too. I have to collect more things for it first.
Then another box came with hats for Mama and for me and in it was a flying witch hat and it was for Mama but it looks better in my shop!!

Today I made a very big list by looking at all the pictures in my books and writing down what furniture I need and what little things. It is a Big list! We have lots of boxes of furniture so that is good and lots of other things I can use. I will take a pictures of all the things I have picked out of Mamas boxes to use to show you. Then we will make lots of things too. We have found some things in magazines we want to make for it and I have seen lots of ideas now from Rosannas friend and other blogs that I would like in my house.Rosannas friends has a bigger house than mine so now I have said I would like to build an extra part onto my house for maybe a store room. Not sure how to do this though.Maybe also it would be good to make the outside like a tree not so square but I dont know how to do this too!

I am going to school tomorrow but will put more pictures of what we have found on another day soon.
Hope you like my hats. I do very very much.

My New Miniature Project, The Brambly Hedge Mouse House

Hello my name is Lola and I love Miniatures! My Mamma (Kate) came home with a project for us to work on.
It was a two story dolls house with two rooms which were the same size.
First I wanted it as a hat shop but I thought that would be better as a 1 story house.
Inspired by the Brambly Hedge books by Jill Barklem I wanted to make my house into a country mouse house.
The lower floor will be the kitchen, and the upper floor will be the bedroom.
Please follow this blog as I will carry on working and there will be loads of of stuff about the house for you to see as we work on it. Also I will show what we make, how we make it, and what we buy, so lots to see!
